## 1. About these Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the famly mobile application ("the App") operated by Hakan Yiğit Unaç ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing, signing in to, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
Apple's standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the App as distributed through the App Store: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

## 2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the App on behalf of a family, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for any account you administer.

## 3. Your account
### 3.1 Sign in with Apple
You create an account by signing in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID and device secure. Anything done through your authenticated session is your responsibility.
### 3.2 Family roles
The first member to create a family is the **admin** for that family. The admin can:
- Invite or remove other members
- Delete the family (which removes all family data permanently)
All members can:
- Add, edit, and delete their own transactions and recurring templates
- View all shared transactions, members, and analytics for the family
You must not invite anyone you do not have permission to share financial information with.
### 3.3 Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the in-app settings. Deletion removes your profile, your individually owned data, and your subscription mapping. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.

## 4. Subscriptions, free trials, and billing
### 4.1 Plans
The App is paid via auto-renewing subscriptions sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We currently offer:
- **Monthly subscription** — recurring monthly charge
- **Annual subscription** — recurring annual charge, often presented with a free trial
The exact price for your region is shown in the paywall at the time of purchase.
### 4.2 Free trial (if offered)
If a free trial is shown to you on the paywall:
- Your Apple ID is charged for the first subscription period at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Free trials are limited to one per Apple ID per subscription group, per Apple's rules.
- If you previously redeemed a trial for famly, Apple will charge you immediately for the selected subscription.
### 4.3 Auto-renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions any time in your Apple ID settings: **Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions** (or App Store → your profile → Subscriptions).
- We cannot cancel your subscription on your behalf; Apple controls subscription state.
### 4.4 One payment per family
A single active subscription covers the family that the subscribing account administers. Each family member uses the App without needing their own subscription, provided they are accepted into the family by the admin.
### 4.5 Refunds
All purchases are made through Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com — we do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. We will, however, advocate for fair handling of legitimate refund requests where we can.
### 4.6 Price and feature changes
We may change subscription prices and the features included in each tier. If we increase the price of an active subscription, Apple will notify you and you must opt in (per Apple's rules) for the new price to apply. We will give notice of material feature changes at least 30 days in advance where reasonably possible.

## 5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the App's source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or to record information about people without their consent
- Upload, post, or transmit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share
- Interfere with or disrupt the App, our servers, or our hosting providers
- Attempt to access another family's data, brute-force invite codes, or bypass our access controls
- Use the App to launder money, evade taxes, or commit fraud
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules. Repeated or severe violations may also be reported to law enforcement.

## 6. Your content
You retain ownership of the financial information, descriptions, names, and avatar images you enter into the App ("Your Content"). By using the App you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display Your Content for the sole purpose of operating the App for you and your family.
We do not use Your Content to train any model, sell it to third parties, or repurpose it beyond providing the App. See our Privacy Policy for details.

## 7. Our intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, name, logo, illustrations, and copy, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for personal and family use only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, or commercialize the App.

## 8. Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services as described in our Privacy Policy:
- **Apple** — authentication, in-app purchase, push notifications
- **Supabase** — authenticated database and storage
- **RevenueCat** — subscription-state management
Your use of these services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for outages, data loss, or other issues caused by these providers, but we will work in good faith to resolve any impact on the App.

## 9. Disclaimers
The App is provided **"as is"** and **"as available"**, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
famly is a **personal budgeting tool**, not financial advice, accounting software, tax software, or a regulated financial service. The numbers shown reflect what you and your family enter. We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy of any totals, projections, or insights
- That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in your country
- That data cannot be lost (always keep your own backups of critical financial records)
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under your country's consumer-protection laws.

## 10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the App.
- Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

## 11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party right
- Your Content

## 12. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued operation becomes impractical (for example, if we discontinue the App).
If we discontinue the App entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data where feasible.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

## 13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top
- Notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect
- Treat your continued use of the App after the change as acceptance of the updated Terms
If you do not agree to a change, please stop using the App and cancel any active subscription before the change takes effect.

## 14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of **[your country / state — e.g., Republic of Türkiye]**, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of **[your city / jurisdiction — e.g., Istanbul, Türkiye]** have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. However, as a third-party beneficiary of these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.

## 15. Apple-specific terms (required by Apple)
By using the App, you also acknowledge:
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- The App is licensed, not sold, to you, and your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products as set out in Apple's standard EULA.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance and support for the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party intellectual-property infringement claim relating to the App.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
